Service Trays & Plates
Created in collaboration with the Franco-Polish designer Marta Bakowski, our hand-painted ceramic plates and dishes are inspired by Henri Matisse's painting La Musique. Serving as centerpieces, design serving trays or even decorative objects, our tableware has a striking look to reflect all your desires.
The importance of tableware
Serving trays and plates are often thought of as simply functional elements of a dining table, but in reality, they play a crucial role in enhancing the overall interior design of a space. Whether it's a formal dining room, a cozy breakfast nook or an outdoor patio, the right tray or plate can have a dramatic impact on the aesthetics of the space. When it comes to dishes and plates in interior design, there is one type of material that stands out for its beauty and exceptional craftsmanship: hand-painted Italian ceramics. These pieces are not only functional, they are also works of art that bring a touch of old-world charm and elegance to any room.
Italian ceramics
The Italian tradition of making ceramics dates back centuries and the artisans who produce these pieces are renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. From the rolling of the clay, to the shaping and firing of the piece, to the intricate painting and glazing, every step of the process is done by hand.
This dedication to craft is what sets Italian ceramics apart and makes them so sought after in the world of interior design. The beauty of hand-painted artisan ceramics lies in the unique variations that each piece presents. No two pieces are the same, and the imperfections that result from the artisanal process are what give these pieces their character and charm. The hand-painted designs, which range from classic flowers and fruits to more abstract motifs, add an extra layer of beauty to these pieces.
Tableware
When it comes to incorporating ceramics into your home decor, the possibilities are endless. A simple plate or tray can serve as a centerpiece on a dining table, while a set of mixed and matched plates can add a playful touch to a breakfast nook. Trays of different sizes can be used to organize and display items, while adding a touch of color and texture to a room.
In addition to their beauty, handmade ceramics are also incredibly versatile. They can be used in formal or informal settings, and are durable enough to be used on a daily basis. This combination of beauty and functionality makes these pieces a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to enhance their home decor.

When choosing ceramics for your home, it is important to consider the color palette and style of the room in which they will be placed. If you are looking to create a cohesive style, choose pieces that complement the existing colors and textures in the space. If you're looking to add a splash of color, consider pieces in bright, bold hues that will make a statement. For example, our Harmony or Sol dishes will bring a cheerful touch to your table, while our Nuance, Clé or Variation plates will make your desserts even more colorful!
In the world of interior design, trays and plates are more than just serving pieces. They are versatile decorative elements that can be used in a variety of ways to bring a touch of sophistication and elegance to any room. From their intricate patterns and vibrant colors to their unique shapes and textures, there is a tray or plate for every style and taste. In addition to their decorative value, trays and plates are also essential for entertaining. A beautiful tray can be used to serve drinks and appetizers to guests, while a plate can be used to serve a main course or dessert. In a formal dining room, trays and plates can also serve as a centerpiece, adding interest and depth to the table.
For a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere, consider incorporating organic materials like wood and ceramic into your tray and plate collection. A handcrafted wood tray with a natural finish, for example, can bring a warm and welcoming touch to a room, while a set of mismatched ceramic plates can add a quirky and eclectic touch. Another trend in interior design is the use of trays and plates as wall art. Grouping multiple trays or plates together on a wall can create a stunning visual display, while also serving as functional pieces that can be easily removed for use. This trend is especially popular in kitchens, where a collection of plates or platters can serve as a functional and decorative element.
